Think Big…
In spending time alone with God this morning, He put it in my heart that I need to stop trying to figure everything out. And instead I need to follow the truth of His Word and trust Him with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all my ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct my paths (Proverbs 3:5 & 6, NIV). The Message Bible says it this way, “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” I love that!
Is there anything/any situation you are trying to figure out in your life that God may be telling you to instead, simply trust Him and what He will do?! Whatever may be on your heart today, friend, think big and remember the lyrics of the Francesca Battistelli song, “Write Your Story,” for as the words of this special song goes, “…They say, You [God] can give the blind their sight and You can bring the dead to life. You can be the hope my soul’s been seekin’… I wanna tell You now that I believe it… You can make me new…”
God is good. He is big. He can do big things in your life and the lives of those you love. All He ask of you is to trust Him, from the bottom of your heart. Believe the things He tells you in His Word and through His Holy Spirit. Believe He is good. Believe He is big and can and will do big things for you! He loves you and He delights in the prayers of His children (Proverbs 15:8, NASB).
I leave you with the truth of God’s Word; Scripture that speaks about just how big He really is:
“God’s love is meteoric, his loyalty astronomic,
His purpose titanic, his verdicts oceanic.
Yet in his largeness nothing gets lost;
Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.”
