Be Free… Let Go of Control!
I found myself praying and journaling the following words this week, Heavenly Father, I lay down my want to: to be right, to be understood, to be accepted and loved. I continued, For the truth is… I am fully understood, accepted and loved by You, the King of the Universe! My heart instantly felt light! (Now please know that I am dearly loved by many. I know and believe that today, but, for some reason—a reason I cannot even remember right now, I was not feeling loved that morning. And thus I was pouring out my emotions in my journaling, with my time with God.)
Next, I found myself saying/writing, Father too: I choose to stay silent, stay calm and do nothing. I am choosing to let You handle this for me, i.e., I let go of control! Wow, that was an Aha! Moment for me. Tammy, let go of wanting to be in control and/or trying to be in control and you will be free! How freeing it is to let my Heavenly Father handle things for me!
I am reading through the book/letter of Jude from The Message Bible. It has been so powerful. I leave you with some of the thoughts/words that have so ministered to my heart this week. I pray they bless you as well!
Jude (MSG) As God’s children, we are:
- Loved by God the Father, called and kept safe by Jesus Christ.
- Relax; everything’s going to be all right…
- Rest, everything’s coming together…love is on the way!
- …fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to [you] as a gift to guard and cherish.
- God will take care of you!
- …stay right in the center of God’s love…
- Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith…
- God can keep you on your feet, standing tall in his bright presence, fresh and celebrating…
This, dear one, is truth to hold onto! The truth of God’s Word and the knowledge of His love for you can carry you through all things victorious. Keep going and don’t give up. God has a plan for you and it is a good plan because He is a good God! Let go of whatever situation that has you all tied up in knots. Give it to God, through prayer, and step back and relax and watch and see what your God will do for you! He loves you and can work things out in your life and the life of those you love. Be free by letting go and trusting in God’s love being in control and working everything out. For “everything (really) is going to be all right; everything’s coming together… love is on the way!”
