“Relax, take the bumps as they come and enjoy the ride!” Those were the words of a young silver medalist winner, of the sledding competition, in the recent Olympic Games. She was being interviewed on NPR radio this past Monday evening. When asked, “What advice she would give others?” she replied with the above words saying, “Relax, take the bumps as they come and enjoy the ride!” Then she added the exact thought that I was thinking, by saying, “That’s good advice for life, too!”
The interviewer asked her, “Why is it important to relax when you are going over bumbs?” She explained that it was because if you are stiff, it will make the bumbs rougher and it will slow you down, but if you are relaxed you will glide over the bumps more easily and will thus keep up your speed.
You know, it’s funny, I so often turn off the radio when I hear “talking” or I turn it to a station with music, but this night I didn’t! And I am so glad I didn’t, because I needed to hear those words! Isn’t it so true with life? If we will just learn to relax and not be all wrought up or stressed out, we will then glide over the bumps in life so much more easily. Then as the result, we will better enjoy the ride of this thing called life!

Testimonials
“Praying Scripture is the most powerful and effective way to pray for your marriage. It can be a daunting task to search out all the passages that apply, though. In this book, Tammy has done the hard work for us in compiling a beautiful arrangement of God's attributes along with verses to pray for myself, as a wife, and verses to pray over my husband and marriage. The Lord has used many of these passages to bear fruit in my own life and marriage."
