Just Remember These Three Things…
A dear friend of mine called me yesterday, seeking guidance and needing encouragement. I listened, with love, as she cried and poured her heart and pain out to me. At the end our conversation, and before I prayed for her over the phone, I found myself saying the following words to her… Just remember these three things and you will be all right…
1) God is real!
2) God is good!
3) And He loves you every second of every day!
I thought to myself, Wow, we all need to focus on these three things every day; I need to focus on these three things every day! I believe it will make a huge difference in our lives, little by little, if we make an effort to do this every day!
I shared the following, very special and powerful, Scripture with my friend, as well… “The Lord will fight for you; you need only be still” (Exodus 14:14, NIV). Another version states, “The Lord will fight for you, and you won’t need to lift a finger” (Exodus 14:14, TLB)!
Is there any area or circumstance in your life, dear reader, that you need only to be still and let God fight for you and/or let God handle the situation for you?! I find He is much better at handling things for me than I am. He knows and understands every person’s heart. He sees the big picture. He is all-wise and all-knowing and oh, so patient when He works in our lives. We can trust Him! For, He is good. He is faithful. He loves us and wants the best for us.
Dear one, just remember the above three things and be still and let God work things out in your life and “you will be speechless with amazement” (as the footnote to Exodus 14:14 says in the Living Bible), at what God will do!
