While being interviewed on a morning talk show, this week, the guest star (an actress of a weekly TV series) was asked, “Is it hard for you to not know the future of your show and what’s going to happen to your character in it?” Her reply resonated with me, so much so that I came home and wrote her words down! She responded to the question with such transparency saying, “Yes, it is hard for me because I have a ‘type A’ personality and am a ‘control freak.’” Then she went on to say (and this is the part that really struck me), “But, I have learned to be okay with it because I trust our writers! They are brilliant and always write a beautiful and amazing script for us, every time!”
Wow, while I realize I may not have her exact words to the tee, the overall truth of what she was saying was huge to me! The analogy immediately came to me that,
We, as God’s children, need to learn to trust God writing the script of our lives
and the lives of those we love. He is more than brilliant! And I can trust Him to
write a beautiful and amazing script to my life and the lives of all those I love,
every time!
Friends, may we, too, learn to be okay with not knowing the future and what it may or may not hold for us and for those we love. May we, more and more, trust our sovereign, good, faithful Heavenly Father who writes the script of our lives! He is more than brilliant! He is more than amazing! And He makes all things beautiful in His time!
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Ephesians 2:10, NIV).
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be” (Psalm 139:13-16, NIV).
“He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11a, NIV).
Be happy and do good, daughter of the King!

Testimonials
“Praying Scripture is the most powerful and effective way to pray for your marriage. It can be a daunting task to search out all the passages that apply, though. In this book, Tammy has done the hard work for us in compiling a beautiful arrangement of God's attributes along with verses to pray for myself, as a wife, and verses to pray over my husband and marriage. The Lord has used many of these passages to bear fruit in my own life and marriage."
